TOM TERRIFIC HERE WITH ANOTHER HONEST RESTAURANT REVIEW. On August 31, 2024, I wanted to celebrate my 23rd anniversary of retirement from a Pennsylvania steel mill so naturally I chose the best restaurant in Tampa Bay to have dinner. I was fortunate to get a table in the main dining room and had a view of St. Joseph Sound and the 8 pm sunset. That really added to my dining experience. Chobbo was my very efficient server and I started the night off with a Dirty Martini ($12) made by Rachel the bartender. It had two bleu cheese olives. The drink was great. Next I opted for the grilled octopus with vegetables ($19). It was perfect and the saffron sauce was to die for. Lots of different veggies and plenty of octopus on the plate. You have to try it. For my main I decide on the 12 oz N.Y. strip ala Oscar ($54) done medium. It arrived as requested with red in the middle, a scoop of crab meat on top and a ton of asparagus, carrots, green beans and roasted potatoes that were still hot. The strip had a delicious full deep flavor that I was craving. For dessert I went with the petite Pina Colada ($4) which is sort of mousse concoction with pineapple on top. I loved it. I finished with an Ocean Mist drink with blueberries ($12) as I watched the sun set over Caladisi Island. The bill came to a little over $100 and I tipped Chobbo $25. As other servers passed my table, they said hello. Very friendly and inviting. The managers came over to see how i was doing and to make sure my food was properly prepared. It was and I complimented them both, Jeff and Christian. If you have not tried Bon Appetite I encourage you to do so. There's a reason they get selected as best of the best every year.

Was there Friday with one of my oldest friends! We dined inside do to the heavy humidity... Wonderful as always! We dined on lobster, Greek salads and salmon. Daniel was our server. Gracious, caring and gave us plenty of time to catch up! Thanks again!

Outside bar, great drinks, great view, great bartenders. Always great time. A must visit if you are new or visiting the area.

Sunday brunch with an amazing view and enough cool air flowing from the fans to enjoy the July Florida heat, My husband surprised me with a prearranged and thought out date including a pitcher of sangria. It was made with Spanish wine and a berry burgundy which made it perfection. My meal was the steak hash which was filling and delicious. I especially enjoyed the wine sauce and mushrooms alongside the filet. My husband ordered the lobster scramble which had an interesting base and flavorful cream sauce. In typical fashion, we ordered two meals and switched half way so I am well versed to tell you both were great! If we go back, we will order the same thing but we may try the Crab Eggs Benedict in place of the lobster scramble to mix it up slightly. After we finished brunch, we took a stroll downtown Dunedin making for a perfect outing. I don't want to neglect mentioning that Shane sat us. We were warmly welcomed and he gave us some great information. Our waiter, Daniel, was also friendly, helpful, and added the right touch to our dining experience. Both were an excellent representation of good service.

I love this restaurant on the water. The music can be a little bit loud if you're dining under the tent outside, sometimes it might be windy. There's also a wonderful bar and depending on what side you sit on you can view the water. It's not inexpensive.

Omigoodness!!! First and foremost, Rachel from Chicago is AMAZING!!! If you are going to go to Bon Appetit ask for Rachel; Rachel went above and beyond. Rachel gave us a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. She also brought freshly baked rolls. Rachel did everything to make our experience top notch! Now back to the food and ambience, the food was phenomenal, fresh and flavorful. We had drinks to start, my son and I had bloody Mary's, I had traditional and my son had the surf and turf. The Bloody Mary's were the best we have ever had! My son's girlfriend had the espresso martini and my husband had the mimosa. They said their drinks were pretty yummy too. I had the crab cakes Benedict, my husband had the Lobster egg pie, and our son and his gal had the avocado burrata toast; Holly added the shrimp to her avocado burrata toast. The guys shared the lox and bagel. Everything was soooooo DELISH! We're going back on Thursday for Rachel and the food! I'll try to remember pictures of the food.

Beautiful location, nice views, good service. Slightly pricey. Food was good. A bit of a drive for us, but always worth it.

We made a reservation for Thursday night for 4 people, got great seats, and nice view. We didn't know what to expect but we knew that the view will be nice. Service was outstanding, very knowledgeable and attentive. His name was something "Serbia". He definitely was more of an old school waiter, respectful, dressed nice, and very attentive. Nowadays so hard to get a good server, even in Michelin star restaurants, often times you see young servers who smell like weed, and don't want to be there. So we were very pleased with service. They have a very large wine selection. We got a seafood tower and it was amazing. We loved it very much. I had scallops for main. Dessert: tiramisu and chocolate cheesecake balls. All food was great, we were positively surprised with how great food was. The only reason it is 4 and not 5 stars is because of the restroom. It was very dirty, with toilet paper everywhere and it smelled bad. Also it was Thursday not super busy day, they should keep bathroom clean. Other than that, everything was great.

I recently visited Bon Appetit, although I've only been there for drinks so far. My boyfriend ordered an old fashioned, and I tried the key lime pie martini, which was more of a dessert cocktail but quite enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant was clean and inviting, and the bartenders, although busy, were friendly and engaging whenever they had a moment to chat. We were lucky enough to get our drinks right at sunset and took a stroll down the dock where they have seating by the water. Watching the sunset from there was truly magical, adding to the romantic atmosphere of the place. Bon Appetit seems like an ideal spot for a lovely date night, with its scenic views and relaxing ambiance.
